So to be able to change between pmr and frs we have to do a modification.
The modification is very simple and when its done as soon as you power on the device you get a hidden menu where you can select between numbers 0, 1, 2, 3
number 0 is the pmr setting
number 1 is the frs setting
as for the numbers 2 and 3 i havent been able to confirm what they actually do.
All you need to do is undo the 4 screws which are located under the batteries
take out the printed circuit board carefully because you may cut the charging wires in the bottom of the board and then use a wire to shortcut jp3.
jp3 is located a below the ptt switch in the left side of the board.
in the back side of the board there is a metal protection though if you look closely from the left side under this protection you will be able to read it.
the good thing is that you wont have to remove this metal protection cause you are able to shortcut jp3 from the upper side of the board (the side with the keys which doesnt have any protection)
these photo shows the two spots you have to connect (jp3) (from the upper side of the board)

this is a photo taken from the back side of the bord.
in this photo you can see the squeltc control too.

by doing that what you are actually doing is disabling these two components

once you've done this then you will have to power on the device.
what you will see is just a number in the screen
as i told you earlier number "0" stands for pmr and number "1" for frs.
select the one you want and power off the device.
remove the wire you used to shortcut jp3 and power on the device again.
this time the device is full working on the band you selected.
You may find it a good idea to add a little button to jp3 in order to press it evrey time you want to change between frs and pmr.
Thats all about it. have fun and be carefull when you moding
